WELCOME TO MY HIGH CHAI TIME

I’ll serve you a warm cup of chai along with gourmet savory and sweet snacks. We’ll sip tea, nibble on munchies, and chat over unplanned discussions. No formal introductions needed; just come with an appetite and smile.
High Chai Time has been my dream project because it personally evokes warm nostalgic memories  of visiting bakeries in Pakistan, selecting crispy fried savory snacks, and unique freshly prepared  desserts. The truth is South Asian-style tea time is heavily rooted in English tea culture. Traditionally,  high tea time is the evening or ‘after-work’ tea (e.g. after 5:00), categorically different from an  ‘afternoon tea’ or morning tea.
In Pakistan, some shops might briefly close, while others have a dedicated and elaborate high tea food menu for the interim. High chai used to be a way to invite family, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances to our homes, serving as the perfect ice-breaker for everyone, like an intimate ‘happy hour’. But, when I moved to Michigan, I had a  hard time finding any place offering a high-tea menu or ambience reminiscent of home.
