Tea parties!! What’s the first thing that pops up in your mind when you think about tea parties? For me, I think of my Pakistani-style tea parties, which are filled with tons of colorful food and served in various dishes. I am a fan of English high-tea parties, but I like to always add the Pakistani touch to the tea party. Although, tea culture in Pakistan came through British colonial rule. I want to always embrace my Pakistani style at tea parties because it’s a way to respect my culture. Thus, I believe it’s very important to teach your kids certain aspects about your culture that way they grow respecting and feeling proud of their identity.

The pictures above are of my tea partyies for my niece and nephew. My goal was to create a fun cute tea party where they were treated like royalty.
Here few tips to create the ultimate cute kids’ tea party
- Create a list of savory and sweet finger snacks kids will enjoy
- Finger foods are the key
- Look at fridge and house pantry for in-stock items
- Bring out the plates kids can use and play around
- Use flowers to add decor and details
I jotted down my list of items and went to Aldi. I looked for halal/kosher-friendly items and looked through my list. My favorite item was getting the $4 flowers for Aldi.
Here are a few tutorial vidoes :
Shopping at Aldi turned into a master piece
This tea party was done within an hour of prep. Here is what I saw: easy, convenient finger snacks that the kids enjoy the most. I got the pastry ring from Panera. This is one of the many ways to have a kids’ tea party. I went to Aldi and picked up crackers, cream puff, the German Chocolate Biscuit, and a pack of frozen steak fries. I went home and fried fries and chicken nuggets. Quick hack using the flowers and putting them in a teapot creates something cute and unique. https://www.aldi.us

Remember: Kids get bored! They need to get excited and have a playful day. I like giving kids a tea party because it showcases a different type of bonding. My niece and nephew wanted a tea party experience because for them it’s a special way to eat their snack dress and play with their Aunt. These are memories we are making that will have a lifelong impact on them.
Try giving your kids experience with tea parties and let me know if you have any questions
