What makes you want to visit a cafe again? Is it the beverage? Is it the ambiance? Is it the food offered?
For me, it’s bit of everything. Especially when it comes visiting tea places, I want to sip my tea and enjoy the ambiance. Luckily, I found Twisted Tulip in Livingston, New Jersey. The cafe place is filled with welcoming art, comfy sofas, and friendly atmosphere. The minute I stepped in, Twisted Tulip reminded me of my college memories of drinking coffee/tea in Ann Arbor cafes, where each cafe was designed a little differently from the others.
Of course, I had to try the tea from Twisted Tulip. I learned they source their coffee & Tea locally and try to serve other locally baked goods. I tried their strawberry tea along with their in-house strawberry muffin. I was very impressed by the calming and fruit taste of the tea. They did a good job in brewing the tea. The tea comes from Royal New-York Tea Company and Twisted Tulip created their own blend as well. I tried their latte as well and it had strong taste. The best part is their latte art is on another level.
I love to munch on snacks, while I sip on my tea. I am always on a lookout for Kosher/halal baked goods. The staff verified they use only butter in their muffins and cookies. I tried both of them and I was glad to eat fresh baked goods at tea place than super sweet baked goods. I will go Twisted Tulip again to try other blends of tea and snacks. I think it’s the perfect place for friends to meet, moms to take a break, and caffeine lovers to try new blends of coffee/tea.
